Meet the Need is designed for people like you who are ready to find more meaning and purpose in their lives
by giving back. Every one of us has something to offer to those in need, whether it’s something we own or something we can
do.
Giving money to a worthy cause is great, but Meet the Need is not about donating money. Meet the Need is about personal
contact, not writing a check. It’s about carving out a little time to do simple acts of service for others. Even the smallest
gestures can have a lasting impact on that person’s life. As the Bible says, “Dear Children, let us stop just saying we love
each other; let us really show it by our actions.” (1 John 3:18) Indeed, actions do speak louder than words, or even a check for
that matter!
That’s why Meet the Need exists…to let you know about countless opportunities to serve others
through giving of your time, energy and belongings. But there are many uncertainties that keep people from going beyond simply donating
money:

reach out to others in our database. There are so many unknown and unmet needs in your community and even across the world. Search Meet
the Need for the types of needs that fit your interests and skills best…whether it’s donating used items to a local family,
volunteering to work with a local charity on a weekend, or even helping feed the hungry in Africa.
Remember, you CAN make a
difference! You have been given a unique set of skills and abilities that God wants you to use to serve your fellow man. …and
there’s no greater feeling than making someone else’s life a little better!
