We delivered the computer to Yolando on Sunday. It was neat as our son came along and helped set it up and he knew one of the daughters from school. It was eye-opening for him to see their living conditions. She was so grateful and I think this will really help her with studying at night. She said she had to stay at the library at nights to use the computer. Now she can be home with her 4 girls. I also gave her a daily devotional book and had a nice chat. She promises to call me periodically and let me know how she is doing. What a blessing!
When our family arrived at the Good Samaritan Mission the shelves were bare. In just two hours time, the shelves, in both storage rooms, were full to overflowing. It was so amazing to be a part of this experience and see God’s people doing His work. This event is something I pray will impact the lives of my two daughters forever!
I looked and remembered that a friend had a double stroller that she was thinking on taking it to Goodwill so i asked her if i could have it for this single mom at meet the need. It took me a couple of weeks to deliver the stroller but i am happy to have helped.
My 13 year old son and I had so much fun on Sunday afternoon at ECHO. Such a great turnout and enthusiastic volunteers. It was truly a great feeling working side-by-side with volunteers and other church members as well.
What an exciting time!!!! God blessed us with a beautiful day for such a wonderful initiative. It was wonderful to witness the generosity of so many people. We can’t wait until we can help out again!!!!
