Case Study #4 - OneCommUNITY

Background

OneCommUNITY is a group of leaders from various churches in Pasco County, Florida who decided their churches should be doing more to serve local families and ministries. As the name implies, the primary focus is creating UNITY among the body of Christ.

Role of Meet The Need

OneCommUNITY had been in the planning stages for some time but had not yet gotten off the ground in large part due to the daunting logistics involved in centralizing the collection of needs, finding the right individuals or groups that can help, and then making sure the needs were met! That is exactly what Meet The Need was designed to do – provide a common platform for the body of Christ to unite so they can be more active in meeting needs of those less fortunate. So OneCommUNITY provides the “hands and feet” needed to get all of the churches and ministries on board while Meet The Need acts as the centralized clearinghouse for all needs and donation activity.

Success Story

The partnership is just getting underway today but we believe many other organizations share the heart of OneCommUNITY for uniting churches and ministries so we plan to continue to build similar partnerships across the country as we learn from our work with OneCommUNITY.
